Traits: Corpses animated by necromancy. Unlike zombies, possess the same knowledge and skills (including magic) as they did in life, and are fully sentient, due to the soul still being present in the body. This sentience makes them less suitable to undead armies than zombies, due to the fact that the wights may not choose to fight for the one who animates them. Must be made recently after death, or else the soul cannot be returned to the body. Bodies also do not decompose like zombies.

Wights are a powerful and dangerous form of sentient undead, created as a result of a corpse being animated by a necromancer, and having their soul ripped out of their afterlife and forcibly returned back into their body.

Physiology

Appearance

Wights typically appear, quite simply, as recently dead versions of whatever they were in life. Given that wights must be created within a day of their death, they will appear rather fresh, as corpses go, and the unholy magics that animate them will prevent them from undergoing decomposition.

Abilities

Traits: Corpses animated by necromancy. Unlike zombies, possess the same knowledge and skills (including magic) as they did in life, and are fully sentient, due to the soul still being present in the body. This sentience makes them less suitable to undead armies than zombies, due to the fact that the wights may not choose to fight for the one who animates them. Must be made recently after death, or else the soul cannot be returned to the body. Bodies also do not decompose like zombies.

Weaknesses

Extensive brain damage and immolation (being burned) is fatal.

Magic: Are immune to pain and fatigue, though can be slowed down by damage that prevents them functioning properly. Body parts not connect to the brain via the nervous system do not function. Also do not age.
